Hey everyone! I’ve been a bit absent over the past couple months or so and some of you have been wondering where my blog posts disappeared to!

Well, my wife and I have been praying through a big decision:

I was offered a position with a rapidly growing functional medicine practice called Parsley Health …

… and accepted it!

The timing was really quite amazing, as were a number of other interesting things that happened which caused us to believe this was where the Lord was leading us.

So, as of February 3, I have begun working as an online functional medicine doctor for Parsley! (I am actually in New York right now training with this amazing company).

In short, they are a rapidly expanding functional medicine practice that started in New York City. They have an aim to be the largest, most advanced, forward-thinking functional medicine practice in the country – and they are well on their way.

Over the past few months they’ve been looking for doctors to do exactly what I’ve been doing these past couple years: deliver cutting-edge, innovative functional medical care to patients online!

In fact, I read the job posting and did a double-take!

This company is looking for doctors to do exactly what I am trying to do on my own??

When I found out it was Parsley, I was even more amazed because I had discovered them years ago when I was scouring the country for practices that I could model myself after.

I was very impressed with Parsley – their model and vision. My only complaint was that they only had practices in New York and California!

But now that they are expanding into the virtual world, it seems that we are a perfect match for each other!

So what does this mean for DrColler.com and Coller Health?

Well, ultimately, I will no longer be seeing patients independently for functional medicine issues. I have to close my practice.

Although this may sound bad, there really is a very bright side to it as well.

Parsley is aggressively moving to have virtual care available in all of the states. So, although I cannot see Michigan patients just yet, they will be opening up virtual/online care in Michigan very soon.

So, you will be able to see me.

And it will still be online!

Only now, instead of merely getting the service that I can offer as a one-man-show, you will have much better resources at your disposal!

If you sign up to see me through Parsley, you will also have access to a health coach, care manager, and other professionals who will all work together to ensure that you get the best experience and outcome possible.

Not only that, Parsley is able to offer much better software, tech support and other resources than I can provide on my own.

Ultimately, I set out to do my online functional medical practice because I wanted to use technology to offer life-changing medical care that was convenient and affordable.

As anyone would expect, since I was a one-man-show, I ran into bumps that sometimes interfered with the patient experience.

And I highly value patients having a good experience.

Joining Parsley looks like a win-win-win for everybody!

I get to keep my goal of delivering convenient and affordable functional medical care to patients.

Patients (members) get to see me and also get to leverage the resources of Parsley that will result in an even better experience.

And Parsley gets a new doc!

Although this is a big change, it truly appears to be a good one, and I am very excited to see where it takes me and my patients.
