Life-Long(er) Reader: Part 2
Yesterday I posted about how reading might actually help you live longer (among other benefits).
Pretty cool, huh?
But some people really don’t have any extra time to read.
In fact, I used to feel that way.
But I realized that I was in my car a lot.
That’s when I discovered audiobooks!
I’m not sure if they confer the same longevity benefits, but if you’re on the road a lot, I HIGHLY recommend listening to books.
It can take a little while to get used to listening and you might find yourself distracted from time to time, but eventually, you’ll develop your listening skills.
I used to finish several books every month! So, I’ve literally listened to hundreds of books over the years – which is far more than I’d have been able to read in that amount of time.
It is so good for your mind. You can learn so much about whatever interests you.
Even after listening to so many, I still have a huge list of others that I hope to someday get through.
In fact, now that I’m not driving as much, I really miss my audiobook commutes!
If you’re curious about this, stay tuned for tomorrow’s post and I’ll tell you the best places to get them…
