About
Wouldn’t it be great if…
- You could get physician advice from wherever you are, whenever it is convenient for you?
- You had a doctor who could refill your medicines AND give you advice about supplements and other ways of getting healthy?
- Your doctor was open and willing to talk about faith and the deep questions about life, suffering and hope with you if you wanted?
If this is getting you excited, you’re in the right place!
Most people have found that the medical system is painfully slow, inefficient, inconvenient and expensive. Furthermore, doctors rarely seem to have relationships with their patients any more – which is a fundamental aspect of the healing process.
This is why I decided to break out of the typical insurance-driven, disease-management model, and start using technology to cut through all of the junk.
Virtual/Online Healthcare
Virtual medicine is taking off! And it’s no surprise. It’s much more efficient, convenient, and cuts down on costs for everyone. Instead of having to schedule months in advance, deal with traffic, and waste your afternoon waiting in a room full of sick people — only to get 5-10 minutes with the doctor, you can do it all from your phone or computer! From wherever you are!
This frees doctors and patients up to really have the time to build a relationship and get on a real path to wellness. And you don’t feel like you wasted your day!
“Ok, this sounds nice, but why should I try virtual medicine or trust an online doctor?”
First of all, I am a real doctor – a physician. I’m not a chiropractor, PA, NP, naturopath, etc. I don’t say this to belittle them because I have many friends and colleagues who are non-physician healthcare professionals and I love and respect them tremendously. Many of these folks are extraordinary in what they do for their patients. But, amidst the flood of non-physician professionals into the medical world, doctors seem to be always out of reach. I’m doing all that I can to make it easy and convenient for you to see me – a doctor.
Secondly, not only am I trained as an Osteopathic Physician, but I have extensive experience and education in functional and alternative approaches to wellness. This is a powerhouse combination that allows me to make real diagnoses, order tests, prescribe medications, and place referrals, but I can also counsel my patients on legitimate alternatives that help them get off of their medications and live more healthful lives in the first place.
Thirdly, I’m a techy, and I’m super excited about the burgeoning world of telemedicine. These are exciting times in technology and medicine. Knowledge in both of these fields is accelerating at an incredible pace. It is an amazing time to dive in and explore the ways in which technology can deliver convenient and affordable care to patients. I want to be a part of it!
Finally, I love Jesus. I’ve been a Christian since I was a child and the richest times of my life came when I was living my life out of a sincere and passionate walk with God. Sadly, since becoming a physician, the pressures of schedules, productivity, education, and all the other busy-ness of the job seemed to squelch my walk with the Lord. I don’t want to live that way anymore. I want to be an example to my family and patients of a man walking by faith. I hope that doing this – offering virtual medical care – will allow me to be the doctor that God called me to be.
