Back To School – Cold & Flu

DrColler Cold/Sinus/URI

I love fall. Cooler whether. Leaves changing. The start of a new school year and other autumn activities.

There are many things to love about this season.

But with falling leaves, we also seem to have more dripping noses.

I find that there are few things as annoying as catching a cold…. except, perhaps, catching a cold and not being prepared for it.

So, here’s your seasonal reminder to stock up on the things you need when the inevitable snot starts flowing.

Here’s what I do at the first sign of upper respiratory infection…

  1. Increase water, decrease sugar and dairy
  2. Nasal saline rinse or spray 2-3 times/day
  3. Vitamin D, zinc and possibly elderberry
  4. Get extra sleep

You can do a similar thing with the kids.

We have also found products like Mommy’s Bliss (day and nighttime), Hyland’s and Zarbee’s to be helpful.

Our kids seem to do best with the Mommy’s Bliss.

So, stock up on tissues, sinus rinse packets, and supplements now so that you’re all set the moment the symptoms start up.

Remember, if you set up an account through my FullScript platform, you can get access to professional-grade supplements with an automatic discount.

You will find some of the products I use under the “viral illnesses” category.

Happy fall! And stay healthy!
